Heather Hunter - Porn Star, Artist, Musician and now Author
Heather Hunter, former Porn Star artist, and musician has recently turned her creative talents to writing.
A woman that seems to have no end to her creativity has released her book ‘Insatiable’ this month. I have not read it myself so I cannot really review it here. I’ll make it a point to pick up her book at the local bookstoe within the next week or two. After I have read it, I will post a review of it here.
From a blog on AOL, here is an excerpt of an interview where Heather describes the book..
“I can truly say I’ve been working on my book for the past 10 years. I’ve always wanted to write a story about my life, but not express it as a tell-all book. So I put it out as an erotic novel about a girl named Simone Young. She runs to the world of fame, because she has this insatiable desire to be famous and at the same time to be loved. She winds up in porn–pretty much fulfilling people’s desires–and through porn she goes through these trials and tribulations of trying to find love in all the wrong places. At the same time she becomes an amazing, big, top adult star and breaks into the mainstream entertainment business. I don’t want to give up the whole book, because it’s an amazing book. It’s also very steamy–very titillating as I would say”
Yes, the definately sounds like it has parallels parts of her life.
As far as I know, Heather first started working in porn in the late eighties and performed in over 60 porn videos. She became wildly popular and was best known for her interracial and lesbian scenes of video sex.
In 1993, she because active in the professional music scene with house music. At one point the label she was working with ( I cannot remember the name, sorry! ) tried to market her as a ‘R&B’, but with no success. Her latest release in music that I am aware of was a rap title called ‘Double H: The Unexpected’.
In 2006, she opened her own art gallery in Brooklyn called ‘Artcore-NYC’ that featured a collection of her own paintings as its first exhibition.
I am going to be completely honest here. I have not seen her artwork, no have I listened to any of her music. So, I cannot say anything positive or negative about it.
What I can comment on is that Heather’s work in the porn industry was some really great stuff. She always delivered a strong performance that would keep you wanting more. With all of her creative that she has, I think we can say she is a VideoSex Renaissance Woman. I just think it is a pity that she no longer does porn. Her talent in the industry is something this porn lover will truly miss.
